Aka Chickpea / Besun flour. An Indian word for any pulse, Gram in this case refers to chickpeas. Its pleasant, rather nutty flavour is valued widely in Indian cookery. Used in sweets, samosas or batter for bhajis. Thickens and fortifies sauces and used, mixed with other flour(s) to enrich chapatti mix.
